Branding for Zero Suicide Australasia

I had the opportunity to work again with Sue Murray of Zero Suicide Institute of Australasia (ZSIA) after our previous engagement with another non profit organisation where Sue was CEO.

ZSIA works with healthcare systems to enhance the quality and safety of those who are suicidal and come into contact with Australian healthcare and hospital systems.

I was tasked to refresh the brand for the Australasian market and help enhance the website design. The objective was to create a striking distinct brand for the Australasian region while maintaining the integrity of the global brand.

The Brief

As the brand is global, the rebranding project needed to be subtle yet effective enough to convey the changes the client was aiming for.

But it was important that the design and brand development retained the integrity of the core global brand while allowing the Australasian branch of Zero Suicide Institute to emerge and blossom independently.

The Approach

I took the time to explore and understand the purpose of Zero Suicide Institute of Australasia, as well as the global arm of the brand, making recommendations on design elements and features that could work to enhance and establish a connection between the organisation and the local audience. This involved slight reworks and updates on the logo, brand colours, icons and fonts.

Rebranding a regional arm of a global institution was challenging, but I was able to interpret the design needed for the logo and website. While the changes to the logo were subtle, they were pivotal for the brand to develop a fresh look for the local market.

Inspiring branding & graphic design for female entrepreneurs who want to elevate their purpose-driven brands.

The Result

Overall, I was able to deliver branding, logo updates and website redesign that are consistent and coherent across digital and print media, including website design, corporate stationery, campaign materials, infographics and reports.

My designs for the workshop workbook and posters for a ZSIA course were also used by NSW Health, showcasing the success of the design project and the quality of the work by TCGD.

Even with the redesign solutions, the new branding still retained the desired connection with the global brand while providing consistency across all marketing.

I engaged Tweed Coast Graphic design to work with me to develop branding for a new organisation. This followed having used Tweed Coast Graphic Design for a very successful rebrand for another company with which I was working.

Simone spends time to understand the purpose of your organisation, makes suggestions for how she might interpret this into design features and then sets about creating a selection of designs that have flexibility to adapt any or all of the elements that work for your brand. She is creative, commits to delivery within an agreed time frame and works to provide you with a final product of which you can be proud.

Across the two organisations on which we have worked together Simone has designed reports, corporate stationery, campaign materials, website and many more.

I highly recommend her if you are looking for a creative, competent and committed graphic designer.
